The intersection of Main Street, Banks Road and Cedar Canyon Road needs capacity and safety upgrades in anticipation of growth in the city of Banks. This project is included in the Banks Transportation System Plan (TSP).
We expect the number of vehicles using this intersection to more than double by 2040. Without improvements, traffic queues and wait times will cause long delays. We plan to install a traffic signal to reduce the impacts of traffic and improve safety for bicyclists and pedestrians.
The $5 million project is funded through the Major Streets Transportation Improvement Program (MSTIP 3e).
